What is Alpha?

It is a class for anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith. Alpha is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions.  You can ask any question at Alpha - no question is seen as too simple or too hostile. Does God really exist?  Why did Jesus have to die?  Isn’t there more to life than this?  If God is good, then why is there so much suffering in the world?  How do I pray? Why am I here? Anyone age 16 and up is welcome.

What Happens at Alpha?

Alpha meets Wednesday night for 10 weeks, from 6-8:00 pm.

Each evening you will enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal.  The meal is free, but an offering basket will be available each week for those who would like to contribute to the cost of the meal.

Each week you will be seated with the same table group and table leader.  You will listen to the evening’s presentation, and then the table leader will guide discussion on the topic presented.  You can ask any question.

Childcare is available during Alpha, but only for those parents who pre-register their child/children.  We need to know the ages and how many children will attend Alpha so that an adequate number of caregivers are present.  You can pre-register your children by calling the church with the number and age of children at 747-0001 or by email: pastor@cbcparkland.org.
